I miss that route. One of the best 10's in the red for sure. Wasn't it called flying squirrel or something first?

Speaking of flying squirrels, last fall Yasmeen and I were climbing those tens over by Tourist Trap. Yasmeen was belaying and this squirrel decked right at her feet. I think that it thought it was a flying squirrel, but wasn't. Very sad.

I got chased by a squirrel once when I was on the Wabash College campus. I was alone walking to my car and saw a squirrel from a distance sitting on the sidewalk watching me. I got closer and then scared, next thing you know he comes running after me and I ran for a few minutes with him chasing me. I jumped into a big pile of snow, which ended the chase. Thank god, I thought it was the end of me!!

While belaying Bart on all things considered, I was dive bombed by a real flying squirrel. Just missed me, before floating off into the woods.

No, what was really sad was that I was on the other end of the rope, not in the most secure-for-me-climbing situations and she screams! Thank God she was using a Gri-Gri because I look down and her hands are flying up all around in the AIR!

I almost DIED that day and the squirrel, noticably shaken up, merely scooted around like a Marx brother, got its wits back and ran into the woods.

good one! that's why you have never let her sleep outside in her life and you bring her bottled water to the cliff, etc, etc!
