I am going to do a race this Saturday morning at Keeneland, thanks Meadows for letting me know about it. This will be my first race ever! I hope it isn't too cold out there, brr.

A good rule of thumb is to dress 10 degrees warmer than it is. It's amazing how fast you heat up even in the coldest weather.

I have no idea what that post means, tsparks.... break it down for me... I run a lot but know nothing about it.... give me specific names of articles of clothing. in the winter i mainly run on the treadmill bc it is too fucking cold outside.... should i wear my down jacket? just kidding, but seriously...... do I wear shorts? or leggings? capilene or what? shit!

Jill and I were going to run the Reindeer Ramble this weekend but waited too long to enter. Now that the entry fee is up and you don't get a t-shirt forget it! If I'm going to pay to run I want frills, otherwise I can go run 3.1 miles around my neighborhood and not have to get up early to do it.

dmw wear shorts, sleeves, hat and gloves and run fast you'll be fine. If it is really cold go for tights/leggings and a not so heavy shirt. Most importantly have fun and save something for the end of the course!

i think what sparks means is if you are a little cold when you start you'll be find in no time...

no down, capilene is good, but for me (since i have no hair) a hat is a must and some nice thin glove liners.

trial and error...

regards.

If the weather is below about 45 I just can't wear shorts, that's too cold. I normally just go with warm up pants, a long sleeve shirt, and gloves. For really cold runs (my personal low is 14 degrees) I typically go with a tobogan, gloves, and 2 thin layers all over.

quit drinking...yeah, right.

and what is this..a NYC runway fashion show. rp ron is the only curmdgeon on ere who has any sense, and even I question his sanity. if warm at the start, you have Waaaaaaay too many clothes on.
