I'm Just a 5.climber, If it's in front of me and I need to Ascend it that's the level climber I am a the moment. Climbing a 2300ft 5.10 trad route doesn't make me a 5.10 trad climber in the gorge. then again climbing a 5.10 trad route in the gorge may not make me a 5.10 trad climber on the east face of Whitney, or in Yosemite either. Skill is relative endurance finite, and self rating is subjective at best.

In my opinion, you're a 5.whatever climber when you can do all types of that grade on a consistent basis, in nearly any area. Meaning.... to be a 5.10 climber, you have to be able to do 5.10 slab, vertical, steep, fingercracks, handcracks, fistcracks, offwidths, stemming problems, one move wonders, and enduro pump fests..... on sandstone, limestone, granite, and whatever else......

I don't know many 5.10 climbers.

That's funny, I'm living with one 5.13 climber and another 5.11 climber by that definition. Kinda means you suck eh?

Did you tell him that Ro is NOT a 5.12 and that it was recently downgraded to a 5.7 in the online guide?

Hmm.... no, not really. What other people climb has no bearing on how good or bad another climber is.

By your apparent misunderstanding of my definition, though, it would mean you suck even more.....

And that definition makes me a 5.11 climber, so tell the 5.11 climber in your house that they must suck as well.

Hes only a 5.13 climber if he does 5.13 offwidth (by that definition).....and since theres only a few of them he could have done, and he hasn't done any of them..... ummm......

Maybe you just aren't as smart as you think.... but thanks for your time and attempt at a blatant insult.
