Call 954-525-0803 for really innexpensive tickets to France / Italy / Spain.
$600 is not bad, if it's round trip for two.

man, i rode with some drunk italians from curry village to yosemite lodge one night. they were doing 60 in a mini van through the park driving in the wrong with one guy halfway out the window screaming like a police siren at all the cars they passed. good times. they were guides in the alps i believe. i could try and track them down for you.

Like I said, don't bicycle in Italy. Within two days of crossing the border from France into Italy both me and my girlfriend had been brushed by cars and she got knocked down (the same car the knocked her down then brushed against me as they screamed about her falling: toumblee toumblee). And most of the cars blew smoke. It was fucking amazing. The worst in France was light diesel fumes. In Italy it was choking black smoke. Gah. I hope it's gotten better in... holy fuck. It's been almost 20 years. Wow. Son of a BITCH I feel old all of a sudden. Hmmmmm. Rain tomorrow. Bottle of Jim Beam...

PM goodguy. He will have the contact information for a man named Rich who works at Hoosier Heights. This guy talked to us for nearly an hour about the dolomites and climbing in Italy. He had all the beta for where to stay, eat, climb, etc. Have fun.

I went to Italy 4 years ago. Absolutely beautiful. Florence is a great city, I couldn't resist and climbed their city walls (after making sure there were no Policia nearby!).

I stayed in the cities while I was there, I hit Florence, Venice, Milan, Zurich Switzerland (just across the border), and Rome and the Vatican.

Enjoy!

Trains are by far the best way to get around the country. Let me know if you have any questions.

Paris does have an airport. Two of them actually, Orly and Charles De Gaulle. I was able to fly once through CDG for $450 round trip. Paris is a very nice city, but it really depends on what you guys are into. I was way big into the arts and architecture so it was really a great trip in that sense for me.

do you know if it's warm enough to climb in Southern Spain in December?

Took a trip Dec 2001 to alicante spain - it was awesome climbing, rented an apartment on the Med. Sea for 250 for 2 wks. Everyone spoke English because it was a huge British touring area. Spectacular multi-pitch sport climbing on the Penon d'ifach. Forada had wonderful overhanging pocketed sport routes, but it was butt ass cold with snow when we where there.
