SCIN, if your insurance covers it, you should consider a visit with a neurologist. I bet anti-inflammatories might help. That, or possibly steroids. I know a traction brace on your head can be worn at home. You gotta be very careful with radiculopathy. If you don't get rid of it fast, you can get your body trapped in a terrible chronic pain circuit that's nearly impossible to get out. Don't blow this off thinking it will go away. If it's not getting better, go to neurology (and make it clear you are not seeking narcotics or surgery and that this is an acute malady.) Well, as for the narc's, you gotta decide how much pain you've got. I'ld be careful though.

Thanks a lot for the information you guys. I have an appointment on Thursday with a Doctor. The numbness is getting worse. I can barely feel my index finger now. I'm kind of freaked out.

I went to the doctor today and found out what is wrong. I have two ruptured disks. It is affecting me more than usual because I have a narrower spinal column than most people. So the disks are pushing the nerve against the spine.

Apparently this can be healed. I got some Methocarbamol, hydrocodone and prednisone. I'm gonna mix them all up in my beer tonight and have a party!

Man, I was kind of joking about the drug cocktail thing but let me tell you what did end up happening.

I spent my whole Saturday morning in the Emergency Room.

I was supposed to take 8 small pills and 1 big pill. The 8 small pills are the Steroids and the big pills are muscle relaxers. Well, I took 8 big pills instead.

I didn't realize it until after I had swallowed them. I thought to myself "Damn, those were hard to swallow!". Then it hit me. I looked down at the bottle which I was reading the directions from that said "Take 8 pills" and realized that the bottle was not in my hands. Another bottle was. I'm such an idiot sometimes.

Michelle called Poison Control and they said that I would just become unconscious for most of the day or they may have to pump my stomach. I wanted to climb so bad and so did she so this wasn't an option. So I went to ER and drank about a quart of the most disgusting shit I've ever tasted in my life. Some kind of squid-ink looking charcoal drink. Then they had to keep me there to make sure I didn't pass out or anything. Fortunately I acted quickly enough that the muscle relaxers were absorbed into the charcoal shit I drank. Oh yea, that charcoal drink came out just as fast as it went in. I was like a squid squirting ink every five minutes.

I never did even feel a bit high from the whole thing. I was expecting to have a nice little buzz at least.

What a day.
