Tuesday Feb 10 2004: BRUCE COCKBURN 8 PM Kentucky Theater, Lexington KY
If you are not familiar with Bruce Cockburn, take a listen. The only reason he's not a rock star on the magnitude of Eric Clapton is that he's Canadian.. or perhaps because he has always had shitty PR people. He's very good and has like 27 albums under his belt.
Looks like he'll be in Bloomington the night before (but no Louisville stop): 2004-02-09 Bloomington IN Buskirk Chumley Theatre

Damn I can't believe I spaced on Bruce, maybe I can score a ticket. Again, you have to see Leo Kottke if you like acoustic music.
I can probably convince some of the kids around here to hit Headliners. Yonder's a lot of fun.
The Dame got's some good stuff soon -- Feb 28th is BR549/Tony Trishka/Robbie Fulks all in one night. Then 3/6 is Asylum Street Spankers early and Dirty Dozen Brass Band Late. That's gonna be a cool show.
Lady Lucinda is coming to the Ryman in March.
This has been your semi-weekly hippie event calendar update, don't change that dial folks.

Great show for sure. The house band was kick ass as well. Funky bluegrass/rock mix. Very nice treat for sure.
Man, I am dragging today for sure. This working every day thing is tough! I have only been doing it for a couple weeks, I don't know how you normal people deal with it.

Yep. Sorry y'all missed it. Another show in Lex and I went by myself.
Just me and a few hundred of my closest friends grooving to moe and Over The Rhine. Bummer. 8)
Everyone does know about Jazz Mandolin Project and Yonder next week in The Ville, right? I know some of the cool kids around here will at least hit Yonder.

Yep, planning on Yonder for sure. All this crazy cool hippie music lately. Next thing you know, I will be all long haired and stuff.
Doh, to late.

No shit, after all these years my influence is finally starting to wear you down.
BTW, Steve Earle is pretty much sold out at the Kentucky. There were like 10 seats left last night.

charlie, i resent you tossing some perfectly good bands and singer/songwriters into the hippie category.
