if they were at roadside then maybe a Scotts- Irish climber. No more getting off track now. Also thanks for the input pigsteak. Did my part so hopefully my son can some day see Red River Gorge as it should be seen, and not as a garbage dump where no climbing is allowed.

I saw a wrapper from a Twinkie - I bet it was Redpoint!

TO not TOO: the first means a direction such as I went to the store; the second means - shit it's not even a word I don't think. Anyway this thread is stereotypical and biased anyway. "All climbers eat cliff bars..."
Public edumacation.....

I picked up some wrappers at Sky Bridge Ridge and this lady bust into song and sang something about trying to save the world. It was weird. It sounded like a song of something in vain. The wrappers obviously didn't bother her and she thought I was a nut for picking them up.

I was at Summerville lake this past summer. There was a garbage can at the base of the orange Oswald wall that was an overflowing mess - all due to climbers. As a side point/observation that sight was an example of what happens when you put a garbage can near a climbing crag without a good management plan. Plus it teaches bad habits of not packing out your own trash.

There's a path here in Lexington where I walk my dogs, and it's maintained by Parks and Rec. There was a trash can on this path that was consistently overflowing so it was removed. Even after it was removed, people would still throw their trash down where the can once was, especially bagged dog poo (now that one doesn't make sense).

Blame climbers all you want, but it's people in general.

Sounds about like my cats. Move the litter box and they will still pee and poop in the old spot. Anyone want some cats?

we do blame climbers because like it or not, 90% of the traffic at the roadside parking is climbers...same way I would blame dog walkers where you walk your dog...it is not that climbers are better or worse than other populations..they just like to think they are.

shoot, I showed up at a new cliff yesterday where I had bolted a route the week prior, and sco bro found litter already...I lit into "climbers"until I realized it was my crap from the week before.

If you see a camo beer can out in the woods...its probably mine. I lost one about a week ago and haven't been able to remember where I left it. If you find it please return it to 250 Hwy 1036 in Zachariah.Thanks-Joe
