Roadside Trash
For everyone that does not know this, when a trash can is full you do not throw your trash on the ground next to it. Over the weekend I picked up 2 full trash bags full of garbage from laying next to the trash can at roadside parknig lot and there was still more trash there, i just had no place else to put it. And we wonder why climbing areas are being shut down. Please respect the property and pick up your trash. Sorry about the complaining but just figured this needed to be stated.

FIFO's
If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
Re: Roadside Trash
How do you know it was climbers who left the trash? Many local people dumb their household garbage there as well as others who use the roadside pull-off. Not that it's an excuse or anything and thanks for picking it up and all but it might not be the climbers who left it.
Re: Roadside Trash
I was there with him. Some of the garbage could have been from locals but the insane amounts of Luna and Clif bars do point to the climbers.
Re: Roadside Trash
OMG that's such a stereotype - I guess if they were watermelon or black eyed pea flavored they would have to be from black people, or tomato paste flavored with olive oil it would be Italians, or backbacon flavored it would be Canadians?

Of course your anger is well founded. Beleive me I know what your feeling. However, in a community of crag poopin, overhang pissin, radio blarin and chuffer flailin. I preffer to see the bright side. At least they are bringing their trash TOO the trash can. They could pitch it in the woods........... (i'm sure some do).

TO not TOO: the first means a direction such as I went to the store; the second means - shit it's not even a word I don't think. Anyway this thread is stereotypical and biased anyway. Re: Roadside Trash
so then i guess all the locals that go there to sit at the picnic tables with no benches to eat there cliff bars, emergen c, and there pre cooked meat, instant rice, and canned tuna with the plastic spoon still in the can, and when they finished eating all that then they took a shit somewhere close by then threw there shitty toilet paper down right next to the trash can. Also I believe it is hard to sterotype a group of people that you consider your self one of, but who the hell cares if it is sterotyping any how the fact of the matter is pick your shit up and take it with you.

cliff bars are eaten at the base of a rocky outcrop..Clif bars are a product made for self-entitles lazy swabs...KD wrote:TO not TOO: the first means a direction such as I went to the store; the second means - shit it's not even a word I don't think. and buck, thank you for helping out....no matter what people tell you, climbers are just like any other subset of the planetary population, no cooler, no more considerate, and certainly no more thoughtful or gracious..anyone who tells you otherwise is delusional....
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
Re: Roadside Trash
very good and excellent point my good sir - however, when demonstrating correct spelling points I found it more beneficial to go with a common noun instead of a proper one. Much to my chagrin I may add. Do you suppose the whiskey bottles may have been left by Scotts-Irish?pigsteak wrote:cliff bars are eaten at the base of a rocky outcrop..Clif bars are a product made for self-entitles lazy swabs...KD wrote:TO not TOO: the first means a direction such as I went to the store; the second means - shit it's not even a word I don't think.
