You folks need to email Hank MacCann at Urban Outpost about the tshirts. His email is hank@urbanoutpost.com.
I think he got them in, but hasn't shipped them out yet. Woudn't hurt to send him an email to remind him.

I wasn't there but it's good to know that they made good. That's a solid indication that they were on the up and up. I'm with Skychick, I hesitate to participate in a lot of events out of fear that the money fails to reach the intended recipients. Unless I know someone with knowledge of how the money is distributed, I generally hang back.
Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.

I guess it's natural for some people to have doubts but I honestly never thought it was even a small likelihood we wouldn't get them. Free gear, free beer, free bands, one of which is pretty established and you could bet didn't work for free. I know a lot of this was probably coming from sponsers but every year it's the best comp I'd been to. If they dissed their sponsers as well as all the participants it would be disasterous for the SCC and everyone else involved.
Lazy climbers, maybe. Deceitful and purposefully fraudulant, probably not.

Because something as silly as a T-shirt bothered me (along with an initial lack of response from the guy that was 'in charge' of the T's), I actually had an email thread going with some chick that was 'in the know.'
She basically confirmed it was the lazy climber situation.
Somewhat ironically, as all of these T's are arriving in mailboxes across the midwest, my mailbox was stolen...actually, my entire condo building's (about 10-15 mailboxes) were stolen--lock-box style mail boxes were ripped out of the wall; undesired contents (junk mail) all over the ground; desired contents (including any t-shirts that may have been there) missing. I suppose it is just kharma for me sending bad vibes to an otherwise fun event.
