Feeling guilty doing something one enjoys, in my narrow minded opinion, should not be a part of a marriage. Maybe the Mrs should find a hobby to entertain herself while you are gone.

That is very true. My wife doesn't climb, and everything works fine (as is the same with many other people.) Just balance your time properly. Unfortunately that means I usually only make it to the red one day a weekend, but there are worse things in life.

Ah, but those were some fun "one day a weekends!" Tossing Juicy Juice to the top of Bonzo! "What do you mean that was your first lead belay?!!," "Di, you make 5.5s look like 5.10s!" The little nut that could! Big Al, Lexi, Greatful Dead Barry, 5.6 Wes! Those were good times, Partner!!!!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

I guess "feeling guilty" isn't the right way to say it. Although climbing gave me some absolutely unforgettable times, there were many times I wish I could have shared them with my best friend, my wife. Blech, did I say that out loud?
