This is a classic question from "You Bet Your Life," a gameshow hosted by Groucho Marx.

There is no right answer.

If you answer yes then you are admitting that you used to beat your wife and if you answer no then you are admitting that you still beat your wife.

The thing that amuses me (I've posted three or four polls that have this "no right answer" theme) is that nobody recognizes this classic comedic trick.

Thus, perhaps, proving that many climbers are more stupid than they appear?

Or perhaps "ignorant" is a better word?

Or am I the only one here that really loves classic comedy?

I love the abby-normal gag the best out of that whole movie, I'm going to have to dig it up and watch it again.
