Tom Souders on OLN

Post by Don McGlone »

I just saw a show on the Outdoor Life Network called "Global Extreme Everest Adventures" or something like that. A group of athletes from all over were competing in an adventure race type format in Moab, Utah to earn the right to climb Mount Everest. Tom Souders had made the initial cut. I don't know Tom personally, other than seeing his name all through John's RRG guidebook, but that is some pretty cool shit. Right on.

Hell yea! Way to go, Tom!

Ray and I saw him about a year ago and he was telling us about these races he's been doing. That's so cool he's taken it to such an extreme level. Tom is an incredible athlete.

It's too bad that OLN has become so much "blast and cast" or that stupid SUV ad. They still use images of climing in their ads, so I feel kind of cheated.

(Blast and Cast meaning hunting and fishing - cool with me, it's just not what I want OLN to be)
