No, you dumbass mullet!
The money comes from giving this away for free. That's how I make money right? You screwed up by trying to sell your guidebook.

The trick is to put hours and hours and hours of work into something and then give it away on the internet. The money just comes rolling in that way.

Man speaking of money rolling in, I got the first burnproof paycheck. This new economy is great. Now if I can just convince those briar jumpin luddites down at the bank to cash "Here's your bagillian bucks -Ray" I'll be set.

If anyone out there has a GPS and would like to help let me know.
Sorry to change the topic, but ....

I don't currently have a GPS unit, but I have been looking for an excuse. What would be the details of acquiring data? Is the idea to put an X-Y dot on a 2d map? An x-y-z 'dot' on a 3d topo surface? Might as well go 3d so we can avoid long, uphill aproaches!

As long as we're achieving the long dreamed of, I just thought I'd throw out a possible 'dream'. My goal would be to have a quite detailed 3d surface of the crags with photo mapped textures and perhaps the bolt/anchor locations and route lines that could be projected onto the crag surface. With solar simulation, you could enter time and date to check sun exposure.

I can't afford the good versions, but there is software out there that can 'infer' 3d shapes from a series of photos, then map the photos onto the generated surfaces. Of maybe someone has access to laser scanning gear?

The sky is the limit Tom.

John, you *were* joking with the "What are you talking about Ray?" comment, right? Are you having second thoughts on what you approved/disapproved of? You gonna sue me? You probably couldn't afford a scumbag lawyer now that I've destroyed your pimpin' lifestyle by taking away all of the guidebook profits you were raking in.

I'm just biding my time until the royalties roll in. There's no point in suing you until you're really rich. Til then, knock yourself out. If you feel some rope drag, that's just me getting hauled to the top, baby!
