Unlike SCIN, I don't really feel the drive to be better & better, for my own good. I only want to climb as well as the people I like to climb with. I don't know if that's good or bad...but it makes me happy. When I lived 'out west,' that meant 5.9/5.10 (trad/sport). So, I had plenty of time to play with other stuff.

Moving to the Midwest, I found myself climbing with people much harder than me (trad & sport). So I have had to skip out on some running groups (HHH), waterskiing, skydiving...I assume that some day, maybe, things will rebalance themselves again. Until then, I am completely happy letting climbing consume me.

It would have to something with music for me. Dancing or playing/singing. Music simply creates an energy wave inside me that's euphoric.

Writing... anyone interested in proofing my novella for me? It's not finished yet, just wanting some feedback as to whether it sucks completely, or not.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

The will to become a better climber never seems to die, but it does get boring/injuring if I don't take time off to play guitar, garden, hike, piltes/yoga, run, home improvement (even if I don't like it)

It's funny that 2 people have mentioned theatre as something they would return to! I want the hell out of show business! It takes too many hours and the physical demands can be brutal. Yasmeen, have you ever rigged a show or been a stagehand? but its in my blood I think and I might not like a 9-5 job that requires me to wear a tie...

Are you compensating for this? I'm fairly good at bleeding onto masterpieces.

Rags, The grass is always greener on the other side. I've done the grunt work, been the star and man does it look pretty green over there from where I sit. Actually, that cubicle wall blocks my view.

Well, a free belay is about the best I can do. I teach high school English, so not really looking for editing, just opinions as to whether I'm a hack or actually have potential.
