Search and Rescue at the Red
I'm finally moving back to Lexington this September, and wondered if anyone knew of a volunteer/climber search and rescue group in or about the Red. If you know, drop me a line. Thanks.

At the USFS LAC meeting last night someone stated that, "Climbers falling is taxing the resources of local search and rescue and medical facilities." The USFS quickly straightened the person out that the people falling and needing rescue were not rock climbers. But anyways, down at Seneca there is a yearly fundraiser for the local volunteer fire/rescue people. Maybee this is something RRG climbers should consider doing as a good will gesture. Any thoughts?

I am assuming that the Middle Fork group is responsible for the RRG proper area? It would be helpful if someone would volunteer to stop by and talk with them and see if they could help clarify what other units are responsible for areas in which we climb.
