I think spuzo did a great job setting up the site. Props to her.

However, if it's suppose to be a climbing forum it's just not going to attract anyone serious (in my opinion, of course). I tried to read the forum but from what I can tell it mostly consists of about five people smack talking inside jokes. It's fun for the select few but overall seems like just irrelevant banter to an outsider. The only real info about climbing that I could find was by kentuckysarah about Injured Reserve (which you WILL get soon, girl!).

But it's a great platform for what it's being used for and I'm glad spuzo created it for you all. You got your no rules. Enjoy!

yeah - not really a climbing forum...when Joe gets back to Civilization and a computer that might change - right now the little gremlins are just running amuck...there is one topic that you might want to look at and offer an opinion on t hough...about red tagged routes... http://wrfj.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=27

It gets hijacked at some point I think, but it was a valid topic to begin with and relatively interesting - The poster and myself had a conversation then about east to west ethic and manners in climbing...let us know what you think.

i think about every topic ends up getting hijacked, sometimes be me because i get off track sometimes and then can't remember what the original post was about.

i think it's a good website to just say anything you want without worrying about getting banned, and a good place for all the outcasts to go...not saying that we're all outcasts over there or anything. i can see where it's a lot of inside jokes, it's not really meant to be like that, i guess we just get carried away sometimes and then get way off topic.

oh, and thanks artsay!

the site can be about climbing...its just than not many people are posting about climbing topics (because there are really only a few of us that post there)...if we can get more people over there with their ideas there will be more to talk about other than ripping on eachother

Hence lies the problem...

A lot of folks that want to talk about climbing don't want to deal with wading through crap talk. I think the reason why this board attracts certain folks that didn't post on other RRG climbing forums is because of the dreaded "rules" that have been established as well as the organization of forums that direct climbing talk to certain forums and idle chat to others.

Our mods rock! They have done a kick ass job of making this site what it is.
