you are right with that last comment, and i dont care whether or noth yuji did on-sight it or not, it is a personal thing i for one know that i would not down climb somthing and then get back on it and try and call it an on-sight. but let everyone think what they want cause climbing is and should be a personal thing if you ask me. but what ever let dirt's friend decided whether or not it is an on-sight or not.

The guy that was climbing wouldn't even care if it was an onsight or not. I was just asking so that I could get the story straight when I retell it. So and so onsighted such and such.....yadayada yada.....

i believe the definition of an onsight holds true when you downclimb. next time it would still be an onsight, by every definition i have ever seen.

Hey SCIN,
Yugi Fugiamaharrycary's onsight may be accepted worldwide, but I just can't see it if you go strictly by the book definition . An onsight, by definition, includes never having been on the route. That's just me though.

downclimbing w/o hanging on gear is still accepted as an onsight as far as i'm concerned.

Did you write the climbing dictionary? I didn't think so. That means that what you think is pretty insignificant in the overall scope of things and if I were you I wouldn't even bother forming an opinion about anything. :D

j/k.... If it's an onsight to you, then onsight away son.
