Bad bolts reported

Post by Mike Cook »

I haven't seen them- climber at Miguel's says that bolts on "Stunning th Hog" are pulling out- 1/4 to 1/2 inch now, and they are loose- move. Perhaps the third and fourth bolts. Cheers

I was on the route on 11/04 and didn't notice anything wrong with the bolts.

We found a badly placed bolt on Ro Shampo at roadside crag today. It is the second to the Last bolt. The rock below the bolt is super sharp and it cut my girlfriends new Petzl quick draw and she fell much farther than she should have. Either the bolt needs to be moved more to the right or a small chain added to it or the sharp rock filed smooth. This is a dangerous bolt in its current location!!
