Just a quick video I put together of some of the bouldering around the red and some other parts of KY. Something to keep you all motivated on these snow days.

It is an easy fix.. Just hit the mute button. But that was not music, it was the worst shit I have heard in awhile. I am not that picky about music, but damn. It was hard to over look, or over hear...

Sorry tb did you make the music... If so I am not sorry. Get a new hobby.

ynp1, I can definitely appreciate your comment. There is a problem when trying to make movies of this sort. That being, the music that compliments an activity is not always the music that one would listen to outside of the given activity. An example of this can be seen simply by looking at the music you listen to in a gym versus, say, driving. Climbing typically has to have something beat heavy, without a lot of background thrash, something like hip hop or electronic music works well. For more scenic or narrative shots mellow music that does not take away or distract from the visual imagery is needed. Because of this, I chose the beat heavy route and wanted to avoid another video with pretty lights etc... Simply put most music is not going to mesh well the imagery of climbing. Metal or rock is to harsh and fast to mesh in most situations as the sport is not fast paced enough (unless you are Dan Osman) to fit that sort of vibe. Similarly country, surf rock, etc... is all a little too mellow for the pure bouldering flick. All this is to say, that while I understand your issue with the music (trust me I am not going to bed listening to the eels, or having dinner conversation with Lykke Li in the background), there is a certain type of music that tends to fit with the pure bouldering porn better than others.

Another thing to note, it is not recommended to edit videos that include your favorite songs/artists because after listening to the clips of the given song for hours as you edit you are guaranteed to never want to hear them again.
