Unfortunately, last years foreman Jamelynn and the supreme stair master Rickie Parks have left the area so our krew is starting with a deficit. We'll make up for it though with visions of beautiful new cliff line and some nice shiny anchors hanging off in the distance.

Brent, did you sign up in invisible ink? ;)

Hmmm, I wondered that too. I signed up and filled everything out (all 3x electronic signatures). Then I got the email to confirm my email and did that too. I just figured it might take time to update. So, am I not signed up?

For that matter, it doesn't look like my g/f is signed up either. Maybe I'll have to try again later although I'm not really sure what to try different.

Huh. Did you guys just fill out the waiver, maybe? The JATD confirmation email doesn't require any action on your part. However, the SmartWaiver confirmation email does.

I've been seeing JATD confirmation emails come through this morning, so it should be working... feel free to post or email me screenshots - I'll make sure it works for ya. :)

Rachel definitely made the right choice! We'll make room for Lauren, too, if she wants a break from the boys.

FYI- If anyone feels strongly about working on the mountain bike trails, let us know. Don't let the fact that the spaces are full on someone's team keep you from coming. I suspect that my team will have a lot of drop-outs as soon as they find out Tackett is really running the show.

What Carrie said! :)

I added another MTB Trails group (scroll to the bottom of the signup page), featuring Matt Tackett, for those who want to join that project.

Most of the teams don't have a specific project listed for them. I signed up under one of those teams. Any thoughts as to what they are doing? I'd really love to help build some trails at Miller Fork.

Just to encourage people to join in on the 'trail day... I have been super impressed by the rock I have seen in Miller Fork. There is going to be a lot of high quality rock climbing in there.

FYI the project list at MFRP is not as long as the project list at PMRP. Only about 1/3 of our work force will be at MFRP to cut new trails and work on parking lot areas. Since the area is still widely being developed we are taking our time in developing a trail system that will (hopefully) need very little work in the future. Trail building must follow behind the developers. It makes no sense to build a trail to a cliff that will get developed but not in the immediate future. As more crags open up we will implement more trail systems to them. IT will be slow going at first, but new crags are being opened and the developers are working overtime. Untill they are done we will respect their right to their work before we mob it.

Quinn hills group and joel handleys group will be at MFRP. I'm sure there will be more but we have yet to assign them.

Also if you want to bone up on your knowladge of trail building check out this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxTM3iuRzZk

Big contradictions to our practices are mostly the idea of using logs or other naturally decaying material to build up trail beds. We DO NOT USE ANY LOGS in trail contruction.
Yes we have done it in the past but it has proven to be an unreliable method and contributes to trail collapse.
