Nah. Layton and Steve Komito put up Outer Space as an aid route in 1961. You can't climb in Colorado without doing a lot of old Kor routes and I never saw his initials again.

That would be pretty funny. It just kind of gripes my ass that anyone would carve their name in the rock, let alone the fact that I'd take the rap for what some idiot did.

Layton passed away with significant medical, funeral, and other expenses. Friends of Layton's have set up a website for donations in Layton's memory to help Layton's wife, Karen Kor, with those expenses.
