I guess I have to be the bearer of bad news...guys, bob just wants to close torrent to non-renters. He doesn't want to deal, he doesn't want to "manage" or have it managed. bad news? i wish he would close it.
does it take about 15 minutes to walk from one side of torrent's wall to the other? about the time it takes to climb a pitch. the easiest solution i can think of is for the rrgcc to solicit a crew of regular locals. one early riser regularly signs up a crew of three everyday to be filed by available members and then they spend the day rotating out of climbing to walk the crag and keeps things cool. as 'official' representatives of the coalition and ambassadors/liasions of climber-landowner relations they won't have to be to wary of being assholes, they can just spread the word about setting a standard of responsibility. ??
