Money, or rather an economic system is required to accomplish an efficient use of resources. In dhuff's world of "sharing" there would be no incentive to "share" in an efficient manner. Much would be wasted.

dust, the middle class is going away, it was all a falicy allowed to live because it benifitted the bigs very much and as long as the mid class could buy a big screen, SUV, and buy a burger they were compliant. everyone wants something more than they have, not always a materiel want, but a life better than their parent's or the one they have. and since they have to "work" for it they feel everyoine should have to work for it. most jobs aren't "Work", you just have to show up and sit in a cubicle for 40hrs a week. construction, coal mines, child labor building your shoes; that's work and it brings little in the way of money but provides for many more people. since some people sacrifice or better yet, have it taken from them, more of us are able to get by easier. just like prisons, shelters, and other needs for the civilization, everyone is for it, just not in my neighborhood.

that's great you volunteer, more should. do you do you do it for the better good or for school and your own moral pillow? do you actually care about the folks or are they just charity? see, its the conciusness behind the actipn that makes it good or bad. not attacking you so don't get wadded up here, just asking.

we are all responsible for the world around us from picking up garbage to picking up others when they are down but nobody wants to do that. and these freeloaders everyone talks about, they are already there and most people are mad out of jealousy that they don't do it. i'd freeload to if i lived in a world where everyone was out for themselves. oh wait....

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you. O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying,'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after these things, and your heavanly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. -Jesus of Nazereth NIV
