I was wondering if the moderators have a way to make "important announcement" threads not "important"? for example the "Don't Take It For Granite - Boat Rock Party and Fundraiser" thread has been at the top of the more climbing catagory since jan. the last time someone posted was june. is there a way to de-prioritize it so it no longer sticks to the top of the catagory?
Another thought! When there is someone logged in that you would want to communicate with, is there an option of chatting with them directly? Is that something that can be built into the site? I'm not that computer savvy so I don't know if it's possible.
It might cut down on the back and forth on some of these threads.
everyone has the ability to post their AIM or Yahoo Messenger ID's here. When you do, a button will show up under your signature which will allow you to be contacted via one or both of those applications. If you want to instant message someone and not use PM's, those are your options.
Sorry about that Merrick. I usually try to scavenge those to "normal" posts after I feel they shouldn't be "Announcements" anymore but sometimes I miss a few.
