did everybody hear? hanson's point, a beautiful natural bald spot directly west of half moon is on fire...they're controlling it and expecting 700 acres lost, all from a camp fire fri nite.

we were watching it burn from the top of Bonzo yesterday. good day for smokers- at least they got a filter to breathe through.

Sorry to hear that. Some friends of mine were just out there hiking last weekend and said it was one of the nicest hikes they had ever done in the Gorge.

i had some friends who were going to the gorge on saturday and i gave them my copy of hinterlands and said check out hanson's...fire marshall stopped them. unbelievable. we were leaving after climbing sunday afternoon and we smelled all the smoke and just thought...a lot of camp fires or something...oblivious.

where's bonzo?

also, it's 560 acres. i misspoke.
