Awesome work Tony! Thank you thank you. I know how you busted your tail for will climb for Jeremy and what an amazing impact you had. I can only imagine the amount of donations you've obtained from the industry.

I am certain that Team Suck is psyched to have more assistance in the area. They've been carrying the load for a good many years along with Hugh, Chris Martin, Bentley and a lot of FAs around here. Our community rocks.

Oh and I'm wiling to help too.

Hello everyone,

Well the "Do Work Tour" is set for the weekend of June 27, 28 & 29th.

As an added incentive, aside from the awesome gear I am going to have to raffle off (ropes, shoes, climbing holds, cabin rental gift cert. etc.) and the amazing work being done, Dr. Bob has offered to all the volunteers in the tour effort to have access on Sunday June 29th to climb at Torrent. (Awesome!)

Any type of help is appreciated. I am in need of experienced bolting people as well as people who are willing to just carry gear to crags and be extra hands etc. There will be a bunch of gear given out Saturday night at Linda's in the raffle. Raffle details will be coming soon. All money raised via the raffle will be put towards new draws, bolts & anchors.

So far the sponsors on board are the following:
Sterling Rope (Title Sponsor)
Five Ten (Title Sponsor
Clintonville Outdoors
Nemo Tents
Clif Bar
Wolverine Publishing
Crater Holds
Lago Linda Resort (Event Host)
Krieg Chalkbags
Pyramide Walls
Y-NOT Design
And more coming!

There is a blog in the works as we speak: doworktour.blogspot.com

There is also an e-mail address: doworktour@gmail.com

I will be posting a paypal account via the blog for anyone who can't help but is willing to donate some funding to buy gear at below wholesale for this effort.

Lastly the event is being held at Lago Linda's and there will be a discounted package of camping for anyone who wants to take part. Details on that are being worked out and I will post that on the poster, the blog and here soon.

Best wishes,
Tony

P.S. Please e-mail, doworktour@gmail.com if you plan to attend, I need to begin getting a head count so I know how many ropes to get from Sterling and gear to gather.

Hello everyone,

The "Do Work Tour" has begun. The prizes are rolling in for the gear raffle (Sterling Rope, Five Ten Shoes, Clif Bars, Nemo Shirts, Wolverine Guidebooks, Krieg Chalkbags, etc.) Lots of cool stuff. The gear donations have been coming along as well.

The tour kicks on on Friday June 27th at Lago Linda's. Work will be going on all day Friday but the big part of the tour will be done on Saturday the 28th. You can pick up the gear and ropes for the various assignments at Lago Linda's.

Raffle prizes will be drawn at Lago Linda's on Saturday evening. All proceeds from the raffle sales will go towards buying more hardware and anchors. Donations are highly encouraged. A Paypal account has been set up under:

reynaldo.1@osu.edu (cash or checking transfers only please!)

Sunday the 29th is a special day thanks to Dr. Bob who has given access to all the volunteers who take part, a full day of climbing at Torrent Falls. Details on this and access stickers will be given out on Saturday at the raffle give-away!

Please feel free to e-mail with any questions or comments.

Hello everyone,

Ok the fun begins on Saturday at 9am. I will have a master list of stuff that needs fixed ready to pick from. I will do my best to fix lines on some of the routes Thursday night and leave notes on them to inform "non volunteer" climbers that those routes are being repaired on Saturday and to please stay off them.

For those of you who have drills bring along your jugging equipment and anything else you know you need to properly drill and fix bolts/anchors.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at: doworktour@gmail.com

The raffle tickets will also be for sale on Friday and Saturday.

The breakdown is as follows:
1.00 - 1 tickets
5.00 - 6 tickets
10.00 - 15 tickets
20.00 - 40 tickets
50.00 - I wash your car! LOL!

Remember that if you volunteer you have to see me about the pass for Sunday's climbing at Torrent. Special Stickers will be given to those who plan to climb on Sunday in order to gain access to the gate. Rules and information about climbing at Torrent will be given out on Saturday at the raffle draw.

Best wishes,
Tony
