Get a wrench and go back and fix them.

Everyone should add an adjustable wrench to their climbing pack. That way when they find a problem, they can fix it right there and then. They won't have to go back.

Brilliant! Except, I think in your hurry to post, you forgot a couple of words. I'm sure you meant to say:

You know, I actually carried a rope once and it hurt my on-sight ability for the whole day! There's that old climbing saying: "You can never have too much gear if your friends carry it."

You've also opened up another great possibility for a RRC discussion/debate/poll: Which is better/lighter/easier/safer to use: crescent wrench or socket set?

Danger! Will Robinson! Danger! Danger!

(Come to think of it, it would be nice to have Robot as a belay bitch. But with those goofy treads, would he be able to get up to the crags? And those floppy arms probably couldn't pay out slack very fast, but he would be a great anchor. I guess you could make a special "built in" belay device. I wonder if the Space Family Robinson carefully selected only planets with flat areas to land on so Robot could get around? Hmmm.... Oh, and I need to put a wrench in my pack.)

Don't worry about it, possum2082. You did your good deed by alerting the community in this forum. Now go get an adjustable wrench so next time you'll be ready. And con your partner into carrying it. :)

That's because to trad climbers manky bolts are bomber compared to what they are used to climbing on.
