In terms of household items. a list will be put together in the near future so that we don't double up. i think matt and amy may also want a role in this.
clothes, food and money are best at the moment. They seem to have a lot of toileteries and the like for the moment.
The pictures idea is a good one. I think what is most devastating is the loss of personal items, irreplaceable. Any pictures of River will be especially good.
We also need to think about long term. there a lot of offers for help in the next couple of days, but it will be the next couple of weeks and months where help will also be important.
Yes, they were insured, that aspect is what is being focused on right now.

Should we just drop stuff off at their cabin or can we bring it to Miguel's on Sunday?

We have an extra microwave and a 25" TV that they could have if they'd want them. We're moving in the near future and may have other household items that we could donate.

Matt and Amy,

We are thinking of you, and left a message on your cell, but don't know if you can retrieve it. We also made a donation today and have a truck you can have if you can use it. It is a 1990 Mazda pickup (runs but not great)

Hey all:

Charlie and I are trying to organize the list of donations people are sending out. Charlie has a list of items and will post them in a format so we can track who is giving what. This will help us limit multiple donations.

john E. Those items were DEFINITELY on our big items list. I can store them at my house. Awesome.

As for climbing gear and such. rick Bost has offered ten harnesses and 20 pairs of climbing shoes that they can use until October.

They need helmets, harnesses and ropes. Also belay devices!

The Tacketts are humbled by the overwhelming show of support from the community. Much love everyone.

George also has a microwave (fairly new too) that he's saving for them when needed. He is also sending down a box of clothes left behind by Houston (pants 34x34 and size L shirts/sweatshirts).
