what's trad?

I think that's a whole different ballgame and completely related to how and what you're climbing....so I'm talking about sport

I definitely prefer soft, but not when I'm dropped half way down the route.

I weigh over 200 lbs. I always get soft catches.
Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

not really man, with trad or sport as long as its a clean fall a soft catch will put less stress on the placements/bolts/humans just the same. give me a clean long fall anyday over a short ankle breaker.

A hard catch is really bad on the spine. You'll pay for them when you get older.
