I broke my finger at work and climbed after 2 days. i just splinted the finger and used the rest of the good ones to climb with.(that lasted all of 2-1/2 weeks until i could put weight on the finger again) I took almost a week off when i sprained my ankle, but after that i couldn't handle it anymore and just taped the hell out of the ankle and headed for the gym. The footwork wasn't so hot for a couple weeks, but i still climbed.
I can't get outside weekly(i live in Michigan, land of no rock), but I do as often as i can afford to drive somewhere. And I'm lucky enough to have a really nice gym to train at when i can't get outside. I usually climb 2-3 days a week, injured or not.

Hope your foot gets better soon. Do what you gotta do to cope and recover fully (emphasis on the recover part) Get well soon!I know for a scientific fact that if I don't climb at least once or twice a week I become very harsh dude. My body,mind and spirit need it, like air.
