charlie, please submit a request for an annual permit to pass judgement. pigsteak will make the determination if you are climber enough to even know what the hell you are talking about.
if it is determined that you are a trad/bouldering wanker, then you will not be allowed to spit on the 5.12b and above climbers who call this sanctuary home.
we appreciate your input, and look forward to receiving your application for inclusion.

I'm just home for lunch and imagine my surprise at the reaction that cartoon got.
Here's my take on it:
Some people take their chosen sport/hobby way more seriously than others.
Calvin wanting a heart monitor for his gum chewing is similar to someone refusing to climb with beginners because they just have to bag that 5.[higher than the beginner can climb] and they can't be distracted from that goal for anything. Every moment on the rock, in the gymn, or exercising is aimed at climbing a harder grade than they were. That's fine for them. Without them there wouldn't be any 5.15 climbing, people doing crazy batman shit on roofs.
I always want to get on stuff harder than I can do, even if I have to rope haul my ass to the anchors to clean it. But by god I want to climb some shit from the ground to the top, too!
Anyway, I just thought you kids would get a kick out of that cartoon.
