I think some enterprising young person could sit down there and charge folks five bucks a day to watch their car. If the unwise person did not want to pay, dude merely sits inthe weeds and watches red and toothless fuck his car up. Also , dude can take pictures of unwise's car getting fucked up and then sell the pictures to unwise for a premium, whereas the wise person would get pictures and an intervention for the low low price of five dollars daily subscription to our car watching service. Thank you and have a nice day.

Funny!
Does this sound like something you'd want?
1. A fence - with wires.
2. A gate.
3. Parking stalls within a fence.
4. A Pad lock that changes combination every day.
It's not aimed at prevention - just to slow things down... and perhaps deter -
! Enough with all that detestation ALREADY !
Smile & be thankful for what you have.

Sheriff's are elected officials
We also call those the "local retards" in Letcher County. I am pretty sure the label could be extended to Wolfe as well. If you could buy them for what they are worth then sell them for what they THINK they are worth, you would be a wealthy person.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

I posted that on www.seclimbers.org, as others have mentioned trying to solve this issue through the local police is clearly not working. It does appear that it is the same individual over and over again, the guy with the limp etc.
Going to the state police is a great idea as well as the tourism board. Here is there contact information:

Kentucky State Board of Tourism
Capital Plaza Tower
500 Mero St.
Frankfort, KY 40601
Phone: 502-564-4930
800-225-TRIP

Just DON"T leave anything in your car. This guy has taken a $10 watch, a crap cooler and dog food just out of my car. This past weekend he got a cd player from someone from Chicago as well as $ .48 and a toiletry bag. He obviously has NO standards!

Some people who I know caught a man and a woman in the act of breaking into cars at the lode--they (climbers) hid in the bushes with a machete and ran out after the theives. The two theives jumped in their truck to drive away--the climber with the machete slashed all 4 of their tires--but they still drove away (with 4 flats). I like this strategy  --except then the theives called the sheriff to arrest the climbers--but nothing happened in the end.

If the theives called the police and reported the 'incedent', then is there information (name, address, vehicle description/plates, etc.) on the poor, poor 'victims'? Would this info be publicly available?

There was a guy sitting out at the parking area around noon on Saturday. Said he was keeping watch, looked like he had a chair, book, and water out there for his shift.

Does he post here?

I'd be interested to hear the stats of the people/vehicles that passed by on Fixer Rd during his watch.
