Home for two dogs

We are looking for homes for our two dogs. We're moving (I have already) to Colorado and we aren't going to be able to take the dogs with us.

Right now we are renting an apartment and we can't keep them inside because of allergies in the family.

Lucy is a chocolate lab, 40-50 pounds and less than two years old. She's really pretty and has a great personality.

Roger is a black lab/something mix. We think he may have Newfoundland in him but aren't really sure. He's 7 years old and in good shape. He is a really great dog, many of you may even know him from the crags a few years ago. He's kinda big, about 70 pounds, but he's got a great personality and is very well behaved.

If possible we'd like to keep them together, but it's not absolutely necessary.

If you are interested in either or both of them or know someone that would be please contact me for a phone number (ascentionist@gmail.com). The dogs are in Stanton right now and you could meet them on any weekend between now and the end of May.

Thanks,
Chris

Bump? Please, we need some help. We can't bring them to Colorado and neither of our families are able to take the dogs. I would hate to have to have my wife abandon them at Roadside just so one of you will take them. But I will...

I am looking man, I would take one or both if I didn't already have a dog. Try posting some pics.

I feel your pain. I love dogs but I can't take another one on right now. I already have one and she's all I can handle. Hang in there. Keep trying.

Nah, you don't want to eat just any dog. There are special "meat" breeds, plus these two are too old and grizzly. There're probably just good for playing with!

(Plus, not to totally knock Philippino cuisine, but I'd totally go with a Korean recipe! That, or some areas of Switzerland make jerky and sausage, which could be good.)

If you're hungry, go for the fuzzy widdle bunnies! mmmmmm!

Good to know. That was the first one I could find online. I will dig deeper next time.

Here's the link to craigslist posting with photos: http://lexington.craigslist.org/pet/644480533.html

We really can't take them with us (we would if we could) and must get rid of them before May 20th or so, the 23 at the absolute latest.

Any help in finding them a decent home (not living at Roadside) would be greatly appreciated. They are great dogs, especially Roger.

Still no homes for the dogs. Winchester Lab Rescue says they are too "mixed"--even though they rescue Shepherds and the like. We are absolutely desperate at this point. Anyone???
