So, IMO cardio is good for a climbers general fitness and of course it helps keep the weight off. The treadmill can be more torturous than water boarding. A friend gave me a good idea about changing the incline and doing intervals to mix it up.
What do you guys do for cardio besides running? Or, do you have treadmill tricks to help with the boredom?

Re: Cardio
there's a really neat thing you can do called running outside. it's free, comes complete with varied inclines, and it's much less boring. and today is a BEAUTIFUL day which is an added bonus. so go outside and play!bcombs wrote:So, IMO cardio is good for a climbers general fitness and of course it helps keep the weight off. My cardio is kettlebell/jumprope sets with as little rest as possible.
I am however resting this week cause Utah crushed me.

Re: Cardio
You assume I like to run, I don't like to run. I loathe running, but it's the easiest form of cardio I can think of. I do admire people that are passionate about it. Mostly because it is impressive to have the ability to let their mind go somewhere else for that long.Josephine wrote:there's a really neat thing you can do called running outside. it's free, comes complete with varied inclines, and it's much less boring. and today is a BEAUTIFUL day which is an added bonus. so go outside and play!
