Climbing insomnia

I guess insomnia is not the correct word because I never have a problem sleeping but last night I was laying in be thinking about a climb I was on a few weeks ago that I did not get the send on but did work out the crux moves on. I keep remembering the fall then while going over it in my head I manned up and pulled the crux moves exactly as I needed to and got the send in my vision of course. I got so excited about getting back on the climb that I couldn't sleep for another 20 minutes or so. Does this happen to anyone else?

A few months ago, I was working through a climb in my mind while laying in bed. My wife was asleep next to me. There's a move where I need to step through and lay back in order to reach out to the next hold. I actually stepped through and proceeded to kick my wife. She was not a happy camper being awakened by my working through a climb.

To answer your question, it has happened to me in the past. I also have unsettled sleep just prior to mountaineering trips I take due to thinking of all the things that need to be addressed prior to leaving.

i dream about climbing just about every night. usually not lines i've been on, just general pebble pullin'. some are quite strange. since you pulled the crux successfully in your dream, maybe it's an omen that next time you will send.

thats what I call an addiction. It's awsome you love clmbing that much.

It happens to me in a similar way, But in my version It's just climbing that gets me excited (and boobies) thinking about getting to the crag the next morning keeps me awake all the time. it's never been about a particular route though. It kinda sucks because I lose sleep but as with myself and I expect as with everyone else in our boat..... it's totally worth it!! climb on man

Yea, all the time about everything. If I got to sleep in 20 minutes it would be my world record. It sucks being obsessive. Speaking of being obsessive, if someone doesn't shorten the timer on the search engine I'm gonna flip my lid.

Thats why I couldn't sleep, I knew that if I got on it right then I would send without trouble. Its that kind of sequence imaging that usually helps me get the send on my hardest routs.

I've spent the last waking minutes the night before heading out going over the sequence of a project.

I've also replayed the botched crux sequence over and over (and over) on failed attempts to close the deal. Not sure that it ever kept me up to qualify as insomnia though.

I tend to waste my whole day at work thinking about climbs I have been on or climbs that I can't wait to get on. It makes work fly by but my bosses hate it b/c I am not paying attention to what I am doing .

It's set to the minimum. I even took to a negative value. Apparently it's a bug with the timer. Sit, wait 3 seconds, then click. You can do it.
