Steve McClure on the Red
From an interview currently in Climbing-
"The UK has some great sport climbing. Foreign wads used to come over all the time, but then sort of forgot about it when Spain and France got awesome. Look at the Red River as a comparison — everyone knew it was good, but no one really went until now. You can be sure that after the Petzl Trip the place will be on the map!"

"It really is all good ! My thinking only occasionally calls it differently..."

Even with the growing visitor population the red sees, the amount of areas to choose from in the gorge has gotten so large that crowds aren't really a factor. At least from what I've experienced on some of the busy weekends i went down.
Alan Evil is a whiney fucking bitch.
