Error Message When Clicking on Recent Posts

What can I do to my settings to stop getting this message:
You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.

stop making a search so soon after your last would be the first option.

I think that's a safeguard against an attack, to prevent overload onthe server and/or hack attempt.
