The Yes We Can Man rides again.

"It goes without saying that Barack Obama will end the hardship and "struggle" in our daily lives. Under the Yes We Can Man, folks will be able to quit their second jobs, the price of gasoline will plummet, and Ivy League grads will never again have to work for hedge funds to pay off their college loans.

Nor does Obama's magic end at our borders. Last night, he said he would solve our immigration problem in part by improving the economy of Mexico to the point that illegal immigrants will have no need or desire to enter the paradise Obama will create here.

Most magically of all, Obama will fix Mexico's economy even while refusing to trade with Mexico unless it complies with U.S. labor and environmental standards.

I know the competition is fierce, but Obama may turn out to be the most intellectually dishonest Democratic presidential nominee of my lifetime." Paul Mirengoff

I think Obama is kind of like the kid who figures that, as long as he's lieing, he might as well tell whoppers. Alternatively, he might actually believe that he'll keep the promises he's......, naw, no way.

Well, of course we don't vote until November. But it appears at this point that McCain would be the least bad choice...., by a fair margin. How's that for a ringing endorsement?

admittedly I haven't read the McCain thread. Maybe I should check that out. Big endorsement.

i have to admit, I'm really starting to dislike the democrats, I traditionally consider myself a democrat, but the things barock says can clearly never happen. I don't know if he's lying to us, or just dumb, probably a bit of both.

But he's a smooth talker, and the general population eats that shit up...cause they are dumb.

certain attributes make people great at different things be it climbing, swimming, bringing joy to people, or bringing hate to people. barack is a GREAT speaker, one of the best i've seen in the few speeches in which i've seen him. sometimes a little motivation in the form of words is all people need. while words are meaningless in and of themselves i think they are truly the greatest weapon yet available so i don't count him out as being a GREAT leader just yet for that reason alone. if he believes in "good" things then perhaps he can get the actual people who do the work to make just some of those happen and i would consider that a success. if he is evil then who knows what will happen b/c i think he seems to be a pretty smart fellow and that's the scariest kind.

like some quote said, where there is potential for great good there is potential for great evil.

at this time i am part of the dumb general public who likes obama, but i reserve my right to do a complete flip flop later as more evidence comes in.
