climbing impacts

I was sent this link by a tree-hugging buddy who's always telling me both rapelling and climbing are just good for tearing up clifflines:

It does kind of make me wonder if the recreational enjoyment we get outweigh the impacts.

Out of pure curiosity.......What activities have the least impact on the environment? What do the tree-huggers do for fun?

Gimme a break,you mean these snails only live around cliffs?Bats and perigrins I understand,they are dependant on clifflines.

That magazine should be renamed "Whiney Bleeding Heart News". Climbers can't win for losing it seems.
