So reading the latest issue of Climbing, I go to the article from Joe Kinder and David Graham (and oh yes, the token blonde chick) about their exploits in Spain. Excited to hear where their adventures had led them, I got side tracked.
By the end of the article, I think I counted the 38 times that "dope" or "sick" was used in the article. Am I missing something in my old age? I felt like I was reading a pre-teen love affair..."o my gawd...he's sooooo cute!!!"

They both picked that up from RRO while they were here.

sick means dope unless its dope that made you sick then sick means sick and not dope but dope can be sick even if you didn't take dope its just sick dope then.

I also went to a high school basketball game, and forgot how every teen does the same two things on the court...pulls up the front of their shirt and wipes their face/nose (more from habit/nervousness than need) and flips their foot up behind them and supposedly wipes dust of their soles (like 117 times a game)....lol......

im kind of crusty too pig but if anything is "written" by kinder or graham, might as well drink some antifreeze or something does the same thing to the brain.

thanks lateralus..at least I feel better now...i laugh at how these younger kids represent themselves as ambassadors of the sport...it is the working stiffs who buy the products that support their full time climbing careers..you'd think they'd be smart enough to target us old crusties. but then again, maybe they are targeting the 16 year old who lives in the suburbs, and has mom buy all their gear.

So you're saying they should say:
"Sir, that new line is very respectable! I really hope you gain the confidence to assemble the moves together for the full send! It will definitely go down as one of the most difficult and challenging ascents to this very date my friend! Let us now go sip brandy and smoke our pipes!"
