What's your excuse?

We'll probably be looking at having a follow-up planning meeting some time in February. What would people prefer? Either Saturday evening or Sunday morning at Torrent? Another option would be to have the meeting at a gym such as Rocksport or Rockquest? That way people could get some climbing in no matter what the weather is.

headin' south  it is a holiday weekend after all and i have 4 days off in a row - woo hoo!!!

Sat evening @ Torrent in Feb gets my vote. unless the weather's really bad - and then Rock Quest would be great!

The weather doesn't look that great this weekend to bring climbers all the way to the Red.

Just a thought, but you might have better turn out with some kind of online interactive chat / presentation on a wednesday night rather then a cold saturday at the red. Maybe even then if it was nice at the red. I understand that not everyone has a computer at home, but would guess you would get at least as many, if not more, then a live in person thing. Or maybe, you can do some kind of hybrid, where the BOD and a few people that can make it to one location (anywhere with wireless) and are part of a webcast, with remote users able to make real time comments, etc. It might sound like voodoo, but welcome to 2003.

Wes, we are definitely moving in that direction using Torrent as a base. But until we have the technology, which we just don't have yet, we have to do it in person. Keeping it at the Red was our idea to maximize participation from all users. Still, any and all suggestions are helpful for sure...except for Charlie's

You know I'll be there, may be fashionably late, but attending nevertheless.

Torrent is the best option we've got honestly. A lot of us will be coming from Lex and Cinci and others will be coming in from the southerly or easterly direction. Torrent is pretty good (thanks Bob!) because everyone knows where it is and there's plenty of room for participants as well as media/supplies/deliverables. It's nice to have sort of an office location.

We have a lot to cover from a BOD standpoint in this meeting anyways. IMO if done properly the initial motions of strategic planning are at such a high level that there should be plenty of chances for these plans to evolve. Once we get some ideas and plans drafted, input and review from other interested peeps will much more valuable. Don't stress about missing this one, there will be plenty more chances to weigh in or mortgage your future by signing up to help (even if it's running AV for future teleconferences  ).
