If you had to buy just one shoe what would it be and why?

well - i never really thought of it that way before since i usually buy two. but since you asked, i'd buy the left one. i kinda injured that heel a while back and the extra cushion that the shoe provides really makes it feel better.

:D

That is too funny...I don't think it is just ONE shoe... I think it is one type of shoe rather than a bouldering or a long route shoe.

I would buy a right steel tipped boot so I could kick this guy in the teeth for asking such silly questions.

Yeah, thats my favorite all around shoe. A little weak on heel hooking and toeing small pockets, but other than that it owns. The Galileo might be a better choice because of the better heel, but the sole is stiffer so you lose some sensitivity.

My other choice, which is a little bit more red friendly would be the la sportiva muira, because its pretty comfortable, performs well on face climbs, and can get into pockets better than the anasazi.

i would go for the wooden clogs for sure...don't have to worry about resoling them or this shoe for this climb or any of that crap. just plop them on and go....yeah wood is the way to go.

Boreal Joker Velcro, about the only manufacturer that has a selection for size 13 feet.

I've found the 5.10 Galileo's to be a decent trad shoe and an adequate sport shoe. I don't do alot of bouldering so I can't attest to their effectiveness there. So if you want an all around shoe I think they are a decent choice.
