So how long after rainfall does the slabby wall at Lady Slipper stay wet? Last time I was there in April it was pretty wet and hadn't rained in a few days if not a week. Any opinions on whether it's worth checking out on Sunday?

You all are smoking crack if you don't think that shade vs. direct sun doesn't make a difference. Shade = sweaty nastyness Sun=dehydration, pounding headache, and instant painful death.
Hey, HF you were at the Undertow in the shade last weekend...not up at Emerald City / Lady Slipper....how come? Oh yeah right Undertow=shade Lady Slipper = fried egg! Does that mean you're a bitch-ass cracker? You do have 780 posts on this board.

Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

Funk Rock and Lady Slipper are bad ideas in the summer.
Go to the crags that don't get any sun in the morning and go early!
Try to find the crags that have big caves that give off a little breeze.
Motherlode..undertow wall has been the coolest place to climb for me in the summer, but the real trick is to get out early!!
Good luck...go to Summersville!!
