just wanted everyone to know, the anchors on ledger line at roadside sucks. i warmed up on it thursday and ended up down climbing it the anchors were so bad.both bolts moved alot inside there holes,i could of pryed thed out with a butter knife.i also think they should be just a little farther apart than 4inches. if the rock should blow on one the other will go with it.

yeah, climbing ANYTHING outside it at your own risk. If you see that the anchors or bolts are bad, don't climb it. If you see bad anchors are bad, lower off the bolt below it. I've haven't done Ledger Line (uh, where is it?) but I won't be holding my breath that someone's going to replace the anchors any time soon.

well i hope the person who put this route up will read this and go check for them selves. with these routes being so easy the dumbasses will really flock to them, and someone will in a matter of time hit the ground.

The best way to get bolts replaced to to contribute to the Bolt Replacement Fund at Miguel's , if it's still there.
If an easy climb is bolted, which I guess Ledger Line is, then it was put up because someone was being "nice". Bolts and anchors are difficult to put up, require time, expertise, and money ($3 or more a bolt, $3-5 or more a hanger, let alone the cost of a hammer drill).
Again, people should climb with their heads and if something isn't safe, don't do it. Is this climb in the row of new 9s?

The father of said route is our very own, MR. JOHN BRONAUGH! (applause). The anchors on this classic "three star" route at Roadside Crag have been the subject of quite a few posts here on RRC.com since the route went up, but Mr. Bronaugh has been far too busy bushwhacking to the far corners of the Red in search of more crags and FA's to fool with such trivial things as bad anchors.

I actually got to gaze in awe at the mighty Shaggy this weekend, JB! Surprisingly, I didn't go blind from the heavenly glow; though I couldn't bring myself to touch it for fear that my fingers would melt from the divine aura emanating from its walls. Maybe next time.
