Thanksgiving 2007

Post by Liz_Weber »

Rick and I want to send a big THANK YOU to all of you who helped with Muir Valley route development, trail building, maintenance, and other contributions this year.

2007 was a good year.
• More than 10,600 visitors.
• No major injuries.
• Only 2 loosened hangers (out of 1800+ installed).
• The opening of Midnight Surf, Calvin Hollow, and Boneyard South.
• 36 new routes.
• New high-quality trails.
• Improvements to existing trails, belay bases and stairways.

You have shown that the overwhelming majority of climbers are respectful of the Valley, courteous to each other, and eager and willing to pitch in and help.

You guys are terrific! Rick and I are grateful to all of you.

I do believe it is we who should be thanking you!

Thank You! :D
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

Thank you, Rick and Liz - not just for contributing the land but for also being so enthusiastic about your visitors and being part of the community.

Thank you for putting up with us.
