Ah! That's the problem with getting a lot of your news from National Public Radio - they spent most of their time discussing the legal issues, and obviously couldn't show an image of the guy.

Yep. You could argue that the videotape or the particular form of sex was the issue, but, really, that's the reason for the whole prosecution.

They've changed the law so now consensual sex between minors is a misdemeanor.

I think my point is if it were a white boy with any color girl there would not have been a prosecution at all.

None of us on this board have ever filmed ourselves having sex (or been filmed or whatever).

More importantly, I can't see making consensual sex of any kind a felony. If an 18 year old has consensual sex with a 16 year old that just shouldn't be a crime at all. If the parents disapprove then it's a family matter but the courts should have no place in there. The problem is where to draw the line. There is something very wrong with a 30 year old having sex of any kind with a 14 year old... but a forty year old having sex with a twenty year old is just unusual. Damn. Now I'm morally confused.

I'd have been quite happy to find a 30 year old woman when I was 14. That shouldn't be a crime.

I had an 18 year old girlfriend when I was 36. If we had met a few months earlier it would've been a crime...

Wait a minute. I was in Louisiana where the age of consent is twelve or something and the drinking age is "tall enough to get the money on the bar." Never mind.
