I go home and get my mail.
I get Kentucky Monthly in the pile.
I sit down to read the magazine.
I see Matt and Amy, Paul, and some other climbing picture.
I read article and see Morgain Sprague's name
I hear RRGCC's name, PMRP, and Petzl.
I am amazed at the climbing community and the hard work it puts forth and how we have gained press from our hard work. It's only going to get better from here! Good job guys!

I sent them a few photos, so would be cool to see it as well. Have to check and see if it is in the stores yet - their website still shows sept. issue.

So, they used three of my photos, but without the requested credit, or any credit at all. I didn't ask for payment, just credit. And they didn't even do that. I guess one day I will learn that doing anything for free is generally a bad idea. Just one of several times that I did something for a "good cause" and the good cause people didn't follow through with their end. So, now I get an "omission statement" in the next issue, which is just some text in the table of contents that no one really reads.

Wes;
Bummer that they didn't give you the credit for the pictures they used. Would you mind me calling them and telling them they forgot to mention whose pictures they used? How do photographers usually handle this issue anyway?

Thanks for the offer, I have been in touch with them already. Kinda like spilt milk, not a whole lot you can do about it afterward except try to learn something for the future - ie paid and have a contract before they get any photos.
