Does anyone know the route just left of Armadillo. I don't think it's Chimp. I cross-checked the description in the guidebook and nothing really fits. Just to the left of Armadillo there are three routes, but the guide only describes two...? So grade and/or name would be greatly apprieciated.

It's probably Edgehog 5.10c. Check the online guide.

The printed online guide is what I was using. The guidebook says that Chimp is 125 ft. left of the dirt ramp to Armadillo, and that Edgehog is left of Chimp. This route is more like 45-50 ft. past the ramp. It's a dirty bulge at the bottom leading to thin slab, then a bulge to more slab and then the finish. But if you're right, what is the third route in this section that isn't desribed in the guide?

It's Edgehog. Fixed in the guide.

I believe it is called Jailbird and is something like 10c, but I could be wrong. I think that Team Safety put it up a few weeks ago.

You may be right, it seemed fairly new and the guidebook says Edgehog was put up in '98. Plus it has more than 6 bolts, something like 8+anchors.

Yeah, that's it. When I was on it, it was still pretty dirty, but seemed pretty solid. It sort of fits into the pattern for all of the routes on that side of the zoo. A few hard moves at the bottom, then finishes with some pretty easy slabby climbing.

Cool. I think Put Me In the Zoo and Armadillo are both pretty cool slab routes. Sounds like a good addition to the area.

Yeah, it's nice having some decent moderate routes at a crag that isn't so busy.
