University of Florida Tasers loud mouth student.

Post by Roentgen Ray »

Is anyone else out there as afraid as I am. Since when does a wearing a mall cop uniform give people the right to Taser a kid with a big mouth. If these guys were climbers, half the people I know at the Red would get Tasered daily, Jamon would get Tasered at least once an hour, if not more. My God, this kid that was attacked by the police, sure he was rude, but that's part of debate and freedom. When people believe in something, they step on some toes. Look at Terry-Jerry, his job was stepping on toes, but he was respected by many, because he believed in his fight. You gotta respect that kind of passion. In case you haven't seen, watch for yourself.

I guess he won't be unruly at the next time he steps up to exercise his free speech. I think he learned his lesson. Personally I think they should have used the choke hold. Did you hear hiim scream? What a puss.

Well, obviously part of the problem was that he wasn't in a designated campus "free speech zone"!

But seriously, it reminded me of something that got onto the US news a few years ago - it was a similar situation at a political event in Russia - some old lady was verbally laying into some politician and a nurse snuck up behind her with a hypodermic full of tranquilizer...

One comment I saw on this situation was basically, "don't blame the individual cops, they were just going 'by the book' - the problem is 'the book'!"

He was ask to leave quietly after causing a scene after the Q & A was over. He was struggling a lot and not allowing the police to hand cuff him. He should have been escorted from the building, tasered No! Tasers are very dangerous, they have killed people who's heart is already in an agitated state.

but he really wasn't causing a scene until they started trying to get him off the stage. Kerry even said he would answer the question but the pigs kept fucking with him. I probably would have acted the same way.
