HERA Event Salt Lake

Just wanted to let everyone know that last weekend was a truly amazing experience. No I didn’t spend the night in the highlands or get the chance to wear anticlimber’s tightey whities around my head. I had the chance to meet up with Sam (Elias) along with many others and volunteer for the HERA event in Salt Lake City. This event left me speechless. The amount of support along with the devotion and willingness towards this wonderful cause was truly inspiring. The HERA event for me this year was just a stop along the way, but next year….I feel it will be the start for both K8e and I and anyone else that would like to join.

As a side note, the HERA foundation held a party shortly after a full day of climbing Saturday night. I was blown away by the amount of people and respect received because I happened to be wearing this past years Jonny and Alex trail day shirt. There is so much respect for the red and the coalition. The crazy part though, everyone was asking if I knew Chris Hayzzzzzzz…..

All jokes aside, the amount of enthusiasm and excitement for the Rock Trip was indescribable. The look on Joe Kinders face when he saw the RRGCC logo on my shirt was priceless. Like a reflection off a computer screen, you could almost see the load and other crags reflecting off his excited pupils.

Two and half weeks to go…I’m so syked.
